Placed pops up for a fine decorative art and design exhibition

We recently wrapped up “LiT,” and the reception on March 2nd was outstanding! Artists and art lovers mingled (including 3 of the featured artists themselves) and as new faces and familiar friends were introduced, Placed Projects’ curation was explored and admired in a new light at Medium Gallery. Thank you Coryander Friend for curating such an excellent collection, and Placed Project for sharing the collection with us. Farewell and thank you, LiT and all featured artists, it’s been an illuminating experience.

Placed has landed at Medium Gallery with LIT, an ensemble of lighting design, ceramic fine art, and sculptural furniture. Placed is a new gallery and curatorial platform based in Livingston, Montana. Its name plays on the literal centering of artwork as well as the concepts of home, space, expansiveness, and connection. Placed specializes in pieces that blur the boundaries between art and design, form and function.

SAV / Medium Gallery’s model is to be a vessel for existing galleries to showcase their artists and elevate the possibilities in the home marketplace. For this exhibition, Placed was invited to bring the curation of lighting and objects from its current collection, to converge with SAV / Medium’s expertise in the technology of light, and how it affects our lives, our minds, and the way we view our environments. For this exhibition, they collaborate via form and function in lighting design and fine art.
